So before the latest lockdown we were in tier 1.
Now next week when lockdown ends we will be in tier 3.
So that lockdown worked well didn't it?

So although the course will be open, just in time for the frosty weather to ensure we go on to temps ?
The clubhouse & locker room will be shut, I suspect until March or April.
As my club makes lots of money from clubhouse functions / party's / Wakes & Christmas functions it's going to hurt financially big time.

Really fed up with all this now.

How do we find out? Haven't they put all the tiers up one anyway? I have the NHS Covid app and even before this lockdown it was unclear - it said I was in tier 2 and 3 I think. Had no idea what to make of that anyway. As usual the government message is so muddy that people will make their own minds up and do what they want anyway.

Previously you lived in 1, your club was in 2, same as me.
Both clubs are definitely in 2 again, not sure about our residential area.
The app definitely had me in two tiers at once before, perhaps it doesn't quite pinpoint where you are but more of a general overview! Or it's just rubbish. Technically where I live is outside London and falls within Hertfordshire, which is a good thing in terms of the tiers I think.

Edit: Seems to be tier 2 for sure: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/full-list-of-local-restriction-tiers-by-area

Tier 3

So golf should be ok, but the clubhouse shut, I assume

Tier 3. Has anything been said about whether this affects golf? Back to 2 balls? Government website very unclear (surprise) about outdoor activities and meeting people from other households.

Lot of anger from many of our local government reps apparently. We have some of the lowest figures in the S.West but are still in tier 2.

I think that there was lot more hope going on that tiers would be more localised than just dumping whole counties in to the same tier.

T2. We were previously one of the lowest areas. Now we are lumped in with Cambridge and Peterborough ?‍♂️

Everyones not happy here, numbers have been reducing, yet we’re in T3, and numbers higher elsewhere and they’re in T2, it’s a nonsense ?

Tier Areas Should be more refined, as in our city not county where we’ve been bundled with B’ham!

You’ve got more chance of being shot here in Cov than dying ‘of’ COVID!!

Tier 3

hospitality settings, such as bars (including shisha venues), pubs, cafes and restaurants are closed – they are permitted to continue sales by takeaway, click-and-collect, drive-through or delivery services

you must not socialise in a group of more than 6 in some other outdoor public spaces, including parks, beaches, countryside accessible to the public, a public garden, grounds of a heritage site or castle, or a sports facility – this is called the ‘rule of 6’

organised outdoor sport, and physical activity and exercise classes can continue, however higher-risk contact activity should not take place

Only places in Tier 1 seem to be Isle of Wight and Cornwall!

New cases have dropped significantly in my area but we have gone from T1 to T2 ?
