Following being accused of being a bandit the other week after a good round in a roll up at my new (first) club I'm playing with a different group this weekend (they are playing stableford rather than better ball so secretary thinks a better opportunity to card a score with the new lot.)

The course is par 72 and I normally score around the 100 mark with a PB of 96. (PB elsewhere is 94). I played off 24 last time and thought this was probably fair.

What do you think?

Playing off 24 was definately fair that's only the same as PB there won't be many people with handicaps that match there PB. Although with the system as it if you used that card for handicap purposes the one given may differ as it's against SSS rather than par and any triples are skimmed to doubles.

Seems OK to me, your oppponents always whine when they part with money, hopefully we have all been accused of being a bandit once or twice at whatever level.
