What should I have in my bag?

Recently I won a set of wedges on another forum, the Wilson FG tour wedges, 52, 56 and 60 degrees. In my bag I currently have....

Driver
3 Wood
23 degree hybrid
Irons 4-SW
60 degree LW
Putter

I like the idea of having a matching set of wedges but feel that someone of my handicap level probably doesn't need PW, 52, 56 and 60 degree wedges.

My question is this, do I keep the wedges and flog my current 60 degree (Cleveland CG15), or do I flog the Wilsons, and buy another hybrid (thinking 20 degree)?? There are a couple of par 3's at my course that I struggle to make with my current 4 iron or 23 degree hybrid.

Isn't a 23 degree hybrid around a 4 iron anyway?

Yeah, different flight though, hybrid comes out a lot higher....was thinking about ditching the 4 iron but sometimes I feel I need a lower trajectory that a hybrid can't give me

I have just put my 60 deg back in the bag but found when I had 52, 56 and 60 I barely used the 56 so went to 54 and 60.

I also have 4 hybrid and 4 iron, also 5h and 5 iron, find I use all 4 for different shots and get approx 20 yards more on the hybrids over the irons

its a tough call tbh

I'm a high handicapper and the strongest part of my game is my wedge play. Just bought 3 MD's. 48* Seve sig and matching NV Drew 54 and 60. The 48* was to close the gap caused by the stronger loft of my pitching wedge. Works much better than my old 52,56,60 setup although the increased bite of unworn grooves took a little adjustment. Depends where your strength lies.

A 19/20* hybrid or may help close the gap you have between 3W and 23* helping with the longer game and probably allow you to sub between 4i and 23* depending on wind conditions.

I'd sell the wedges and fill that gap as that seem to be where you are pointing out a problem.

If you really want a matching wedge set later you can get the latest 2011 NV Drews for £50 each. Cheaper for 2010 MD's. Beautiful wedges even if I am a bit biased. You could probably go with either 52* and 56*, for more choice 50/54/58 (matching the G10 gaps)

I never play courses with water on unless I can help it Paul.
I only have 3 wedges because I've learnt to use them properly

I'm pretty sure with my G10 PW, SW and my Cleveland LW I have the tools to do whatever I need to do in the short game department.

I think I'll flog the Wilsons and get another hybrid.

I have PW, U wedge (50) and SW (56) in my bag.
SW is used purely out of sand, if I need to get the ball up quickly I'll crank open either the PW or UW and use one of those depending on what I've got to get over, if anything.
Nothing in front of me I will always, where possible, use my PW.

So, what would you do in my situation? I've got a PW (46), GW (54) and a lob wedge (60).

I need a wedge to plug the gap between the PW and GW - say a 50.

I'll end up with 4 wedges.

Or should I restructure my wedges completely???

If your PW is 46, I'd like to see a 52 GW and a 58 SW

Also...

You only have one club between your 2 wood and 4 iron
and it's 21 degrees so I'm guessing it plays like a 3 iron?
