So if Major Tompkins-Smythe, Club Captain 1902, declared a new board competition for white men only we continue with that out of respect for the originator?

If we knew the originator we might realise he was a forward thinking, progressive member who recognised the need for change.

It’s all a bit presumptuous that it’s men’s competitions that are inflexible to change

From personal experience the competitions that refuse to change at my club are the ladies ones


All the old men’s comps including most of the board comps are now open to all
