What is your target for 2014?

Down from 13 to 10. I worked hard on ball striking and tempo which paid dividends and now working on saving a couple of shots a round on short game, including a lesson today.

If my H4H win at West Hill had been taken into account my handicap would have been about 8.8 I reckoned, and I might get a cut in the Annual Review according to the Secretary

That's good work mate - losing 3 shots in a season is always great work

First and foremost to stay fit and healthy.
Golf wise to have a competitive round with nothing worse than a bogey.
Handicap wise to get down to Cat 2.

To get to Cat 1. Last year I wanted to maintain a 6, and maybe drop a little. I went down and back up again but didn't have any sort of real form and to be honest was a bit lax with the practice. This year I want to give it a real good go.

Play more courses, pure and simple.

I have 3 or 4 trips planned already and trying tio get more in the pipe line.

Handicap wise, I don't like to set myself targets as I feel it puts undue pressure on myself. I'll take the Tiger approach.

I'll try and play good golf and let my handicap take care of itself

Same as i failed in last year .. ,

Get to 5.. & break par in a comp

last year i tried lessons for the first time and got a bit hung up on getting lower , put too much pressure on myself , this year its the same target but a different attitude twords it ...

Target for new year lose a stone and get to single fiqure handicap - only managed to get from 15 to 11 so far
but noticed over the last two weeks game is coming back!.
Just the english weather & work holding me back now

- Make fewer silly errors - like lifting my head when executing a chip to look for the ball before I've hit it!
- Get to a sub 18 handicap
- Do the above without losing my enjoyment of the game

To play more by feel and with fewer technical thoughts. Lost a load of opportunities this year with many, many swing thoughts; the good rounds weren't compromised by this interestingly... :D

Looking to beat my mate more often this year. Also looking to start breaking 90 consistantly. Shot 83 last week around my home course for my PB so no reason i can start playing to that level everytime i go out. But most important for me to to just get out as much as possible and enjoy my golf.

If i could start hitting my driver straight that would be good too.

reduce the swing thoughts to just a couple of dozen.

if my handicap doesn't improve this year I will be giving up on competitive golf and trying to improve.
