What is your main priority in golf?

Social games. What other reason is there to play golf? Why would your ambition be to get your name on a board in the clubhouse?

Why wouldn't it be if thats what you want to achieve.

Goals are personal they don't have to be the same or even liked and agreed by others.

Like yourself I like the social side of golf but I also want to go as low as I can and win things if i'm lucky enough to.

Number 1 is to enjoy it even if you play badly...

Number 2 for me is to play as well as I can on the day.
Yes, I'd love the Handicap to come down a bit more but as long as I feel I've given it my best on the day that's satisfying.

I've won more things than I can remember so that's not important to me anymore. Neither is representing the Club - been there and done that.

To me it is a pass time and a leisure activity, so my only aim is to enjoy myself. There's far too many other depressing things in life that get you down, so why make your leisure time anything other than an enjoyable experience? I really do not get it when I see other golfers getting frustrated and doing their nut in just because they have hit a bad shot or missed a put.

It's great if I play well, but I have played shockingly awful on many occasions and still had a great time as I was out in the fresh air on a nice day with some mates.

Yeah I should have put a 'fun' option in there but guess that is pretty much covered by social golf.

Didn't actually realise that people do this for fun though

I have seem many many golfers playing social golf but not having fun.

My main objective is to get as low as possible,whilst enjoying and meeting new people.
Simple really.
A bonus would to play good courses.
