Most i have paid is £50 for The Oxfordshire on a deal..

Most i Would pay is maybe up to £100, but it would have to be pretty special for that! that's 4 rounds at the price i normally pay! but for the odd treat, i would consider it.

Think most I paid was a Gary Player course in Morocco at about 65 notes, plus another 25 to hire clubs. Most I would go up to for a 'normal' round is about that, but would go higher to play something like St Andrews of even Trumps course for a very special occasion. But there's very few courses I would go over 70 to 80 notes, no matter what the occasion.

I have paid some relatively expensive courses on the cheap, and for just about all of them I have come off really enjoying them, but thinking to myself that I am glad I did not pay full whack. As I am a tight Yorkshireman.

I paid £95 to play St George's last year. Think that's pretty much my limit. It's hard to justify paying more when I could take my family out for a great day with that kind of money! Having said that........ If St. Andrews, Lytham or any other open course comes up around that mark I'm sure I'd get over the guilt. I do want to play all The open courses before I get too old :D

I think i am the same, for example got a 4 ball at the oxfordshire for £100, i have paid £50 for it, but IMHO its not worth their standard visitors fee of £120!!

Paid £225 for a day at Sunningdale (round on each course) and most I've paid for a single round is £195 for Kingsbarns last year.

Reading some of the comments above, unfortunately £100 these days doesn't get you on many (if any) of the top courses. I think the cheapest summer round on an Open venue is the Old Course @ 155 this year :(

I've paid £100 for the Old Course (and would do so again in a heartbeat), £140 for Valderrama (11 years ago) and £100 for the Blue Canyon in Phuket.

The most I think I would pay now would be around £150.

I've got a deal through work's golf society for Sunningdale in May: breakfast, round on 1st course, lunch, round on second course, buffet dinner for... £95. Sorry!

£110 for me at Muirfield (Tomorrow! :whoo:)

Don't think that's the highest I'd go but it'd need to be something special....

Muirfield worth every penny, enjoy your game :)

I was fortunate to play all the courses on the open rota and a lot of the other so called top 100 courses 20 years or so ago when the green fees were probably 10-15% of what they cost these days, certainly couldn't afford to play them all again at current rates!

Paid somewhere around £160 at Valderrama and would happily pay it tomorrow (albeit there standard fee is much higher now I believe). Would I pay £500 to play Augusta, if I could afford it at the time then sure, of course I would :) The actual amount isnt the defining factor for me, feeling that I am getting decent value is, you could pay £100+ and get excellent value or pay £20 and get horrid value.

Paying £220 to play The Old, New and Jubilee in April. Not sure what the breakdown is per course but wouldn't pay much more. I like the idea but, knowing golf, imagine having an absolute mare of a round!
