Not sure about anybody else, but this weather is starting to get me down.

I am sitting here looking out the office window, blue sky in front, grey sky behind and no idea whether it is going to rain and for how long or if it just trying it on.

Its playing havoc with my thrice weekly fix of golf. Never sure whether to pack your wets, extra towel for grips, etc.

Is it just me or is everybody else starting to get the hump?

Regardless, will be out this weekend seeing what damage I can do to the handicap

Yep. Not played in the dry for the last 2 months, it's also blown a gale for the last 6 games 'an all.

Don't really want to make this a 'fair' weather hobby, but playing in bad weather constantly grates me. Ah well, the price we have to pay in order to get better. Can't quite bring myself to going down the range twice a week for the whole winter as it just lacks interest.

have had it lucky in that weather has been OK most Saturdays. Last week some of my group were even in shorts.

I have to admit I've not suffered too much. Last Saturday was glorious and I only got caught in the briefest of showers on Sunday. The thing that really gets me down is the strong wind especially as moost of the long holes at Ascot seem to be into the wind.

Would rather play in a light drizzle and no wind than dry conditions and 20+ mph wind

Forecast for Monday is looking great, sunshine and 20 degrees. In fact the whole of next week looks pretty decent, lucky I am off work for 7 days.

Must admit most monday tuesday wednesdays i play have been dry, get back into work thurs fri sat sun and it rains. Most would say i'm lucky, but it just keeps the fairways spongy!

lovely and sunny here today no wind either, has been windy all week though,i'm with you homer can't stand playing in the wind.should be tee'ing off about 4.15.

i was just saying the other day after all the thunder storms... if its not frost and water in winter, its bloody flooding and standing water in summer... i was almost considering moving to better climates.. :(

What a difference a year makes..... last year we had severe dry weather, and it was cold, very cold. Our courses dried out but to water them during the cold weather was not recommended. Many did and they had bigger problems.
This year we have warmth and torrential rain at times, great growing weather. But the rain has been so bad some courses have closed. We are open and I must say looking very well. So one and all, when the weather improves you should see your courses looking in mint condition.

Let’s hope for a better summer than last year!
