What is holding you back?

Long irons at the moment.

Also the poxy css at my club, 41 points the other week and I got a 0.6 cut!

Throughout the summer I've been consistently posting 36+ points week in week out, handicap has dropped from 19.4 to 17.8. I played in the Saturday swindle a couple months ago and they immediately cut your handicap by the same amount of shots as the category you're in ("to make it interesting") so I went from 18 to 15 for this one comp.... I shot 38 points, so I know I can play off a much lower handicap. Not a lot that can be done about it, people keep saying to take a voluntary cut but I want to earn my cuts. So annoying!!

Driving is costing me,just so inconsistent.
However I have a lesson this week with one of the top instructers around,so hopefully
will have something to work on.
Will do a nice write up about what we work on.

putting, can't putt, don't get it, don't understand the mechanics (wot ever that means), had lessons, that was hopeless, new putter, that's going back, it drives me bloody Mad,

Driving and chipping. I can be going along close to handicap and then chuck in a killer drive and run up a big number. Also if I am missing greens I don't chip well enough to make up and downs often enough. I know this winter is all about the short game and then I'll look at the swing in February ready for the new season. Single figures is still the goal

Driving without any question. If I drive it well and find fairways I shoot low scores if it is an off day then I can shoot any number. Have had a round under par this year as well as a few in the nineties so go figure. Keep working on various drills for my driving but it never sticks for long.

Work! Having to go to work has a detrimental effect on the amount of time I can practice thus being the biggest thing holding me back. Just gotta pick the right numbers on Tuesday to solve that problem!

Driving at the minute, costing me so many shots at the moment and I've lost all confidence with it.

Also just some all round consistency would be nice.

Oh and I need to stop beating myself up when I don't hit the perfect shot, I can be a little hard on myself and get too worked up about it.

Iron play and putting for me.

Am going to work hard on the irons for the next couple of months but with baby no. 2 arriving at Christmas don't think I will be practising too much next year. Hopefully if I can get the irons sorted now though I can sneak the odd putting session in here and there come spring and play once a week still.

Not lack of sleep then:D

I'm on nights this week so I was on my break at work.

Trust me I don't suffer from lack of sleep, I'm half man, half mattress! :)

On course experience. I get to play once every few months despite hitting the range weekly, so whilst I'm a demon off the rubber matts I'm a hacker when it comes to grass!

My driving is the pits, its got that bad I don't even take it to the course anymore,I'm hitting my rbz 3 wood 200-220 yards but at least it goes where I'm aiming, when I use the driver I'm all over the shop...
