What goes in what pocket

Why does any one need more than two tees in a pocket? One long, one short, although i guess the long one could just be pushed in further, or a broken one used and discarded.

I hate having stuff in my pockets.

The pros always amaze me, esp the women, with that great wadge of paper work stuffed into a back pocket. Give it to the caddy to carry, its what he is paid for.

So, a tee and combined marker and pitch repairer in the left front pocket, and thats it. Everything else is in the bag.

Glove goes on an alignment stick when i take it off, and trolley remote gets clipped to back pocket when not in use.

As for a spare ball, no, its asking for a reload.

Left pocket is for mars bars, snickers and smarties that have usually fallen out of their tube. Right pocket is for everything golf related.

Right pocket for tees and pencil. Left pocket for pitchmark repairer. (depending on the weather this can eitehr be trouser pockets or jacket/vest pockets, but the left/right distribution always stays the same). Ballmarker is on my cap. Scorecard normally stays in the scorecard holder on the trolley (unless it is raining, then it joins the tees in the right pocket). I normally keep my glove on during the round, if I do take it off for whatever reason, it goes into the left back pocket (or left jacket/vest pocket).

Women's golf clothing sometimes comes without pockets. I hate that. Who designs such crap? Clearly only people who don't play golf. Or who have a caddy.

I think there should be something in the rules about this, it all seems a bit haphazard to me. Scorecard in a FRONT pocket, what is that all about?? :o

Tees, marker and repairer front right, glove front left and scorecard/yardage book back right. Anything else should be a 2 shot penalty or loss of hole

i can't wait for the usual suspect to come on and say how wrong someone is with what they put in their pockets, then quote something off the net and t then argue about it back and forth for 4 pages:rofl:

You all need to go out and buy a Motocaddy trolley. I have the scorecard holder that holds the card, pencil and also contains a section for some tees. The only things in my pockets, right only, are a ball marker, pitch repairer and some tissues.

Brilliant timing, literally just got fitted for my pockets last week:

Front Right - 4 different length tees, 2 of each
Back Right - marker & repairer
Back left - scorecard
Front left (the one with the secret hole) - spare balls, in case a sneaky drop / lost ball 'find' is required
Front & Centre - sarcasm.

In all seriousness thought, it is frustrating when you have loose change in your pocket and this mixes with your tees / marker; also, in some trousers, the scorecard keeps trying to escape.

Spare ball in left pocket (coz I have been known to lose a ball!) and pitch repairer, tee and hanky in the right. My ball marker is magnetic and on my cap, and my scorecard holder/pencil are in a pocket in my bag for marking up at the next tee. As I wear my glove all the time, it's not worth putting anything that I might use on a regular basis in my left pocket.

Right Front - Tees, Ball Marker, Pitch Repair Tool
Front Left - Phone (If not in cradle on Motocaddy)
Back Right - Scorecard and pen
Back Left - Glove when putting.

Ha, fun nothing else to do thread...

For me my left front pocket is my usual stuff, coins, tissues, keys if I don't take them out
front right is phone, tees, ball marker, pencil etc
back left for glove and back right for card

Standard I guess

I wouldn't say it was standard to carry your keys around while playing! That's what the bag's for! Haha.

I'm really not sure about carrying a spare ball in the pocket. Feels too much like tempting fate. I like to think the faff of having to go back to the bag to get a spare ball helps me focus on hitting it a bit straighter. Also an opportunity to hide behind my bag for a few moments when i do shank it into the woods!

Right pocket - two long tees , 2 short tees, pitchmark repair and poker chip ball marker

Score card goes in a scorecard holder in the front of the bag

Front left - the glove between shots (I remove it after each shot, unless I duffed it and have about five yards to walk)
Front right - tees
Back left - scorecard and pen
Back right - pitch repairer and ball marker

Don't carry a spare ball in my pocket.

Tissues? Tissues? I wandered why you kept fiddling about in your pockets! ;)

Yeah, also I just think a ball in the pocket is a tad cumbersome as it sticks out. I only want small or flat necessary things in my pockets while I'm playing really. If I need a second ball the bag is never too far away.
