Having posted pictures of ourselves, I thought it might be nice to see what everyones local course looks like. We have all seen pictures of the big name courses but it would make a change to see some of the views of the less famous courses that people play every week. There may even be some hidden gems. This is my local course, Rutland Water.

Nice looking course, GB72. Lovely views.

Here are a few I took of my home course, Craigielaw GC, East Lothian.

The 1st Hole.
A devilishly tricky short par 4. You can see the pin just over the bunkers on the right. The clubhouse you see in the background is neighbouring Kilspindie GC. Over the bay you can see Gullane GC and Muirfield is just about a mile over the hill on the right.

Lovely when the wind isn't blowing up your troosers.

You wouldn't say that when it's blowing 40 mph in from the Forth in a dreich winter medal! Blame Donald Steel. Nothing to do with me, guys.

Nah. It is nice on a day like this. :D

John, that courwse is gorgeous, there are courses like that over here but every one of them are bloody expensive to join, bangor (my club) is affordable and is a very enjoyable parkland course (within view of the sea, does that make it a larkland course??? haha)

Blindpete, would love a game when the sun reappears. The good news is that is only £20.00 to play at weekends (only £17.00 during the week).

Nice looking course, Bangor, brendy. That 15th looks like fun.

Do you have loads of trees then? I hate trees. They are the work of the devil. No doubt about it.

Well, I had a game round Winterfield dunbar on Saturday and to be fair the greens, all 18 of them were not bad. Pins weren’t changed from the week before and the bunkers, that were playable, were not attended to prior to the weekend. All in all, poor greenkeeping really.

If the course is open for play it should be fit for play.

John, Every hole is lined with trees, even those with internal out of bounds, if you arnt straight you will have trouble getting round confortable. The 15th is a pig of a hole in that the longer drivers can reace the end of the corner and there is pine trees there which hamper your approach so a 3 or 5 wood getes you to the perfect location, then around 140-180 depending on your line will get you to the green which has a big dip in front of it. The next hole 16th is a great par 5, helping wind can give massive drives due to the teebox height however the actual window to get through the trees and towards the fairway is quite narrow (check out its picture!) anything from a 3 to a 9 can be made here depending on your drive! its got a long thin green and bunkers and slope offs protecting it, great hole.
