on the first tee (in a casual game) you swapped clubs with your playing partner.
The whole lot...woods, irons and putter.

Has anyone ever tried it?

Not sure if it would work if Smiffy was playing with Murph :D

I'd blow up. My mates don't clean their clubs after shots very well, I hate to see my clubs in the state some of theirs are!

.......... Plus I'm too young to play with old codger ping stuff :D

It depends. Hywel had Mizzy's with stiff shafts so that wouldn't have been fun. A couple of the regular guys on a Saturday are Cally men so I coudl probably get away with those but one has an old set of Wilson Fat Shafts which I really hate (although I did have a set for a while). Being a consumate golfer I'll play with anything if I have to although switching to left handed is a step too far. I tried it once and it wasn't pretty!

I'm pretty sure that if I swapped with a rightie (similar h/cap), I would score better than he would, even if they were Pings.

The way my regular throws his clubs around sometimes, he ain't touching mine!!

I'm very protective about any of my stuff, but, I would give it a go. Though he has got Cally Diablo Edges, with soft grafite shafts in, and I really don't like the look of them.

But I'd do it for a laugh.

The piss taking about ping clubs is getting a bit boring, I've seen some of ur handicaps and think maybe some of u should try pings, it may help ur games

Would only be able to hit straight shots with pings, won't offer the 'workability' of their current irons ;)

I think I'd be OK'ish.

Normal playing partner has R9's with reg shafts, so no problem there, and the new cobra 3 wood and 2 hybrids.

Where I would sturggle is he uses those MD Golf Seve continuous bounce wedges!!! Urggghhhh!!!

I dont think it would make a hugh difference tbh, I played in England and borrowed a set with titleist dci irons, an old r5 driver, and a bullseye putter, I also had 2 cleveland wedges, had 38 points and won a society day.
Also played with a borrewed set from the current gc when my clubs were in england when I was working over there, shot 76 with taylormade forged, a k1 driver and callaway 3 wood, md putter was canny.
Think I just didnt play anything outside my comfort zone both times, no silly shots and no trying to force the ball.
Maybe should play diff clubs everyweek........

:P

well my friends after todays debacle, all I can say is,it
couldnt be any worse.played yesterday after being away from
clubs for a week, and I just didnt hit any kind of shots at
all,Id borrow anyones clubs just to proove how bad I am

Not exactly tried this, but I have hit the course with unknown sticks before. Usually quite terrible. :(

I remember swapping snooker cues now and again. Even worse than using someone else's golf bats.
