Ok, so we are all united in the fact that we pretty much live for golf, but...

What do you guys do for a living?

Interested to know what kind of people we have amongst us.

(any decent lawyers for when we forget to shout Fore)

I am a Security Manager.

Sorry if this has been done before, lots of new members now anyway.

Ex property lawyer/estate agent. And no, I don't have a fin on my back, either, although I do have one in my name.

Saw the light and been property developing for 6 years now. Time for some golf now. Wayhay!

I used to run the library in a Sixth Form College but gave it all up for golf (and a couple of minor interests like writing a novel)
Well actually, I work 2 days a week doing IT Training but it doesn't interfere too much with the important stuff!

Ex telecoms installation manager now driving trains for a living.
This one fascinated me! How and why do you go from telecommunications to train-driving? I suppose most kids dream of being a train-driver. Toad has realised an ambition.
BTW I live in Spain and teach our beautiful language to the locals.

lol TonyN. I'm not studying anything in particular at the moment I'm doing my GCSE's this year and then going to sixth form college, which I have my interview for on Tuesday.

Actor, about to start rehearsals for THE LION KING in town.
That should leave my days free for golf, but with new kid on the block come April, it leaves me free to baby-sit.

The train driving came about by accident, I bumped into one of my mates from school on the golf course funnily enough and was telling him I was looking for a new job as I was pissed off being on call 3 weekends out of 4 and travelling 50k miles a year, he told me they were looking for new drivers so I thought what the hell might be ok and was lucky enough to get the job.

Training is very intensive in the first year but once complete it's a relativly easy job.
Money was not an issue for me as I was earning more in telecoms at the time, I just wanted a job that ended when you got home not like the old one where I never got the chance to switch off always seeemed to spend another 3-4 hours working on quotes etc when I got home.

My wife said I transformed into a new person when I started on the railway much easier to live with apparently, best thing is now I have lots of time off to indulge in golf, group of us going to Ladybank tomorrow if the weather holds.
