I had my first proper collapse last weekend (I've never been in a good enough position to collapse before). Was going well and got a bit cocky, tried to smash a 4 iron at a par 3 when I should have hit hybrid. Ended up with 6 and then really struggled, playing the next 5 holes in +6.
Took me those 5 holes to have a word with myself and slow down. Made 3 up the last to get cut but there were 5 holes in there where I threw away 4 or 5 shots because I was trying too hard and didn't concentrate on the basics.
