What ball are you hitting this summer?

I tend to play the Srixon AD333 as they normally come on a decent offer, but as someone said previously...I was on clubhouse golf who have last years Z Star XV on offer at 2 dozen for £39 so I thought I'd have a dabble. Not had chance to try them yet, but I've got plenty of golf lined up for the next 10 days :-)

I've recently purchased a few Srixon Ad333's and some Bridgestone D6's. Currently in the process of losing both sets of these whilsty trying to work out which I prefer. Probably make a snap decision when I run out, but at the moment I honestly can't work out which is better for me.

I used Pro V1x last year and I have a bag full of this year's version but I haven't got round to using them yet. I was given a dozen Srixon Z Star XV and have been playing well with them so far, so have no plans to change until I lose them all.

Bridgestone e6 for me this year tried one a couple of months ago then found them for 12.99 a dozen.
Nice ball not to soft but good around the greens.

I buy prov1s from a popular auction site on the cheap , good condition too
So im using only prov1s at the moment ive got loads of um

Loved the Lethal's and Mizuno Mp's but have very few remaining and struggling with the idea of paying £35 quid ish for replacements at the moment.

Will most likely head down to AG or similar when I get back from my hols next week to see what's on offer. The plan was to play well in one of last weekends comps to win some credit for the pro shop, but that definitely didn't happen.

If anyone knows where to get either the Lethal's or Mizuno's at a decent price, lemme know!

Bridgestone 330RX is winning me over, very durable little less spin and maybe distance to the callaway hex chrome ... Might look at the 330RXS and the E5

Taylormade for me, been working my way through the range. Started on TP's, moved on to Pentas now using up the last of my TP5's before I stock up on Lethals. Good ball but what an awful name!

I didn't realise it was such a complex issue and people changed balls so frequently.
Personally, I like TaylorMade balls and buy the TP's as they are well priced and are consistent for my game.
Failing that, I'll use Srixon, Bridgestone or Nike - I don't really mind.

Not a massive fan of Titleist though, I don't like the font of their logo (a ridiculous reason, I know) but at least it prevents me from re-mortgaging my house to by pro-v1s...

What a fascinating thread. 50 replies too. Amazing. Every day is a school day eh?

Anyway, I am planning to use a 1986 B51XD from now until 2.15pm on October 14th. It has a number 4 on it and several scuff marks to improve wind resistance. As hard as a diamond (the only thing that can cut it is a Molitor) and flies off the putter face like a scalded cat. Very good for golf during the hours of darkness and can be used in religious ceremonies if you know what you are doing.

I hope I don't lose it. If I do, I have a Pinnacle Gold as first reserve which I am storing in our airing cupboard in a jar of distilled water. This ball has several magical properties of considerable note but I can't be bothered to explain them to non-believers.

How did the custom fitting go Snelly????

I use a ProV1x so when the balls are thrown up for partners the one that lands near me thinks he/she's paired with a player...that lasts about 1 shot.

To be honest I don't like to pay OTT for balls and tend to stick to midrange except for competitions. I've ran out of the Wilson DX3's which cost £12 a dozen on offer last year and I'm now back on the old faithful Srixon AD333's at £11 a dozen, (club emblem overruns which may have incorrect colour crest or club markings).

Latest offer was Bridgestone E6's at just over £37 for three dozen on sale at Snainton Golf via ebay.

Hopefully I should have enough balls to get me through the summers, while I wait for the winter offers.

For the prima donna's these may be of interest
