What are your golfing ambitions?

I have a few,

1) to get a hole in one
2) shoot under par
3) play all of the top 100 courses

2 of them are very much within reach and with a bit of luck, maybe an ace too.

What about you guys and girls?

Mine is to be the best I can be within the confines of the limited scope I have for practice and coaching.

And to enjoy it.

Enjoy it each and every time I play and learn to accept it won't be great or even average most of the time
Play as many years as I can

2) Achieve a Cat 1 handicap - once i've achieved no1
3) Win a club major comp instead of ballsing them up
4) Shoot under par at least once
5) Make sure I always enjoy it and don't let it become a chore

Get back to single figures and get my name on a club honours board. Being a member of a club is special to me, so having recognition on a club board - especially for when I am no longer a member - is important.

Oooh, it's a tough one.

I'd certainly like to break the 250 barrier. (with a 7 iron )

Maybe drop back down to 11 or 12, as long as that's sensible around my course. (8 over today, but that was off yellow )

Play more courses, maybe join a society?

Mine would be to continue to enjoy golf, play more than I am able to at present and to be able to break 100 again ( it's been a while)

I don't play often enough ( 2-3 times a month) nor have time to practice to be able to be able to focus on improving so it's all about getting around 18 holes with a smile

Get a category 1 handicap (currently 6.3 and been as low as 5.7) and shoot sub-80 round the Old Course St.Andrews (have had two 80s and two 81s).

Keep the handicap going down till the old body says you "ain't going any lower old bean" and then keep it as low as possible.

reached a golfing ambition last week by holing out from 70yards by spinning the ball back into the hole. i was only out practising but two guys seen me do it and their jaws hit the floor. :fore:
