I'm not sure if it drains well, but really liked Rolls of Monmouth when I played it the other year.

Inland, so could be muddy.

You should be a member of BUNGS - Summer Tour this year is Machynys, Ashburnham and Southerndown with some of us playing Clyne on the day before.

Myself and a few others are heading to the Llanelli area next week along the M4 from Swindon. Are there any recommended courses? Celtic Manor Montgomerie course looks like a solid choice. Is there anything closer to Llanelli that anybody has played? Glyn Abbey looks like a good course but is currently playing off fairway mats (not a fan).

Any recommendations at all are welcome.

Im a member at Machynnys, its carry only at the moment after the deluge over the past few days, otherwise its full tees and greens, it can dry quickly as the drainage system they have is superb but if im honest, Ashburnham, Pennard and Clyne would be better bets atm.

I’m a member @ The Vale and the Lakes course is good too. Nowhere near as long as the National but a nice variety of holes, good condition and scenery.
