I am a Palace fan but as has been said, I am not that sad as to hope other English teams (including Brighton, Millwall and Charlton)lose.

Afterall, the better we do in Europe the more slots we get the following year. So cheer on foreign tems at you peril, as your team may miss out due to their failiure.

Chamacks confidence is shot.

There is a theory that Arsenal do this to players. We buy a direct running, free shooting footballer, and then tell him to stop running, never enter the area, never shoot, and pass the ball more, ideally backwards. They can't get their heads round this, get confused, and lose confidence.

I thought that Arsenal played so well last night, no nerves, very positive football.

The press are so out for the managers blood .. all the chat was 'if they lose' 'if that had gone in' 'staring defeat in the face'

The last one I found so funny when you contrast the play with the statement.

Just hope they do not play well at the weekend as I am a Fergie fan.

No worries there then. I was trying to write a team sheet for Sunday earlier, and could only come up with 10 players, and most of them were playing out of position.

Arsenal are a massive club,surely now being in the champions league they can attract some big names.
Cahill,Jagielka and Parker are not good enough,and to be honest Arsenal should be looking for better.
I agree with Ian Wright i would love to see Walcott through the middle for England,playing off Bent or Crouch with Rooney behind.
Hes clueless when he plays wide.

Imo they are not good enough,although Cahill has potential.
Also there not regulars for england.
Vidic of course is not English,so you must be on about Premiership defenders.
Well theres loads better.Jt,rio,Vincent company,van what ever hes called that plays for Arsenal.Only my opinion of course.

Arsenal should be happy looking at anyone who is better than what they've got and who will accept their wage structure. Which opens it up for a lot of positions atm.

And as for today's debacle with the offer for Cahill, it really does bring tears to the eyes.

If we can't afford to pay more than Everton and Bolton we might as well give up.

And even if we have to pay £13 million and £17 million respectively we could get Cahill and Jagielka to strengthen the squad when we need it desperately.

And I'll take Parker at £8 million all day purely for his experience and leadership. Anyone out there old enough to remember Kevin Richardson back in the 80s ?

What's the betting we don't sign any more players this window if yesterday's example is anything to go by.
