Hi all currently thinking about dropping my 4 wedge setup in order to accommodate a 4 iron. I'd be looking at pw 52 58. Just curious how you guys are set up reference wedges are people prefaring a 3 or 4 wedge setup??

just changed my irons my wedge is now 45 so gone for 50/54/58.

must admit I do most of my wedge play with highest loft and hardly use sand wedge but know if I drop it I will hit lots of bunkers.

It depends on your course and where you lay up or go for long shots.

you use long clubs to get the distance but when you miss you need wedges to save you

I had a 45* pw then went 52 58. Pw goes around 130, 52 goes about 100. The gap was too big, so now ive got a 48 as well

The numbers on the club dont matter imo. Its all about the yardages they go

3 wood is 15 deg but again something I'm looking at potentially removing

I'd say the 2hybrid is enough for long shots and positional shots from the tee. you could drop that and leave the rest as it is.

Or drop 60 and have pw 50 and 56.

I have the ap2 gap which is 51 then 56. 60 went today for the foreseeable.

I've just taken my 3 iron out to go 50/54/58, but was because I changed my irons, the pw was 45, but then I didn't like them so changed again and pw was 47 again but had already ordered new wedges.
I played 52&58 for the last 3 years or so, was more than happy, everything inside 80 was 58, then had a choice up to 90, the it was work the 52 from 90-115 and then pw after that. Never had any probs at all, in reality I was a bit silly changing to 3+ pw.

I don't carry PW,my set up goes from 9I to 52,56,60. I carry a 4I and because I love a bit of retro also carry 1iron or my 3iron that has been delofted.Play links pretty much all the time so long irons very useful for accuracy and run out keeping ball low in wind and for that reason as well I'd rather choke down and hit 9i than fly it high from 100ish with PW and have the wind knock it away...my 7i gets a lot more work around the greens than my 56 that's for sure
