Latest G irons. THe PW was so strong you were recommended to buy an A, SW and LW to fill the gap at that end. You can get those as standard parts of the set and not specialist wedges like a Glide

That was kinda the point of my “stock set” comment.

Vokeys are in the “specialist wedge” category as far as I know.

That’s sets as opposed to stand alone wedge sets

Most manufacturers now only offer 4/5/6 to PW

And then people went and purchased wedges

There are some like Ping and think Callaway offer the odd set with a GW and some with all but most are seperate wedges from either the same OEM or different and they are the ones that are all stamped with the lofts

It’s the same clubs being sold - just when you get fitted by Vokey you have choice on what they stamp on the bottom - either the lofts or what wedge you will use it as

Getting the letters stamped on would be counterintuitive for me. In my 50-54-60 set up the 'S' or sand wedge would be the 54, but I don't actually use that in the sand. 60 is the one I use in bunkers. So should I stick the S on that one?
