Weather this weekend!

Haven't played my home course for a couple of weeks due to playing at another course one week and played for the mixed team at an away fixture last week.

Was looking to play it on Saturday but the latest weather forecast states heavy rain and 35 mph winds, so thanks but no thanks.

Hopefully its a bit better on Sunday when I'm due to play in a mixed Texas scramble, fingers crossed.

Playing with Imurg at Aylesbury tomorrow (Friday)

forecast looks dire, so could be Temp greens and mats if we are lucky

Does Hapless stock any golfing waders?

Good can`t put a good round together in perfect weather but allways can when it`s blowing a gale and chucking it down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, am obliged to play in medal this sat so that my partner can get his card in. Will batten down the hatches and soldier on! Trouble is that a brolley is useless in the wind and there is no way of keeping the clubs/golves/hands/towels etc dry when its like this.

Ahh but for the love of golf!!!

To quote Billy Connoly

"there is no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes"

yeah, right :p

Bournemouth area is heavy rain between now and monday so looks like the driving range for me. I wouldnt mind going out in rain but i have a bit of a chesty cough at the moment and have yet to buy any waterproofs so i dont think it is a good idea.

Saturday looks a mess but I'm not overly fussed as I've a lesson anyway and so it'll be about the quality of the strike and not the end result so I'm not too fussed if the range ball gets blown offline.

Sunday looking better and depending on what my regular fourball want I'll either play with them or get onto the practice ground/range and work on the stuff from the lesson

Hey come on Tim, don't let those from the North of the British Isles believe we are a bunch of Southern softies, rub on some Vicks and get out there!! :D

Hoping wether improves for next weekend as i stand in my kitchen with a dripping roof!

Best of luck for the brave souls this w/e.

Oh gawd, playing Seaford Head on Saturday. Wind, gales  Will have to put me lead boots on playing the back nine along cliff tops, especially the 18th - what a finishing hole!

Golfmmad.

Where abouts do you play? I grew up in Bouremouth and lived in St. Ives for a number of years.
