Any recommendations for a trolley bag? Given the rain these days my kit is getting a soaking. Looking at powakaddy dri tech or Motocaddy dry. Bought a Callaway recently which said it was waterproof but wasn't ?. Hence looking for personal experience rather than the product spiel. All suggestions gratefully received ?

Might be feasible. Do you want to try and get a time and put me in (Martin Bedborough - should pop up if you type BED). I can always drop out if I can't get the day off but you'll still have a slot booked

Done? guess you'll be notified of time by the app?

Druids are selling waterproof bags for 100 quid at the moment. I've no idea if they're any good, but I think that's a pretty reasonable price for waterproof.

Which Callaway was it? I have the Hyperdry and have been out in monsoon conditions and it hasn't failed me yet.

Big Max, excellent waterproof bag and even better customer service.

Had a Sun Mountain which was waterproof but zips failed and customer service was non-existent.

Thanks all, going to go with a rain cover in the short term and have a closer look at some of the bags mentioned. Appreciate the replies.

I got the titleist staydry premium cart bag this year and absolutely love it. It’s designEd on a staff bag but not as bulky and has 15 full dividers.

alternative is a Stewart Golf full bag cover. By far the best on the market as it has loads of zips to access you bag pockets.

Chev bag

Unfortunately "water resistant" is really just showerproof and is not the same as "waterproof", golf manufacturers probably get away with selling a lot like this when people think they're buying waterproof.

Sun Mountain or Titleist for me, probably the former.
I'd go further I think the manufacturers should have to quote the mm rating like for jackets - only a few do.
IMO it isn't a binary thing, I've seen some quoted at resistant that are higher than others quoting proof. Tough for the consumer.

I agree. They all have different opinions on what is waterproof, repellant, resistant or showerproof. it’s confusing as hell.

Personally I think the difference in those examples is obvious, with the last 2 100% not being ‘waterproof’!

I’ve never seen a description with repellent used for golf bags ? but again, it’s not ‘waterproof’.

I was looking for a new bag last night and bought one of these again

https://www.amazon.co.uk/STA-DRY-Wa...YS4TYT9AAHZ&psc=1&refRID=0FRGWD253YS4TYT9AAHZ

Similar bag also can be seen as

Also available on ebay and in different colour

I have the earlier version for a few years now and have just bought another simple because my buggy has the straps in the wrong position creating bag wear. Apart from that as waterproof as the day I bought it.

This looks to be a similar bag
