Obviously no one on here plays for financial reward, however, it's nice, So the season is nearly over and in vouchers etc I've had my best season winning over £250.00, this include 2 wins in Opens, I'm rather happy with that, we were discussing it in the bar afterwards and 2 of the members, 1 off 5 and the other off 8 have won £450.00 and £320.00 in 2's pot alone since Jan.
How has your season gone, do you keep count or just spend it as you get it, everything but our 2's pot can be used against membership fees or spent in the pro shop,

I managed to win about £240 this year, despite mostly playing rubbish. Second in a medal, and winning our Pro Am. All gone to the Pro shop, and will spend it when the Taylormade Rsi2 irons go down in price.

Also won a curry off PNWokingham.

The curry is the biggest prize😃

Only about £50 in 2s or vouchers at my home club which I'll use against a new bag or summat at end of year. Won an all expenses paid trip to portugal on a company regional golf day, going oct 1st - 4th playing Faldo and Victoria at Vilamoura, staying at Tivoli marina.

i havent won much at all this season ,four golf balls i think.a bit different to my match angling days when a grand wouldnt have been short of the mark for a season.
im now wondering why i gave up fishing

Ha ha poacher, I am a former match angler turned golfer too. Think the comparison isn't quite fair though given the entry costs and outgoings for a fishing match, plus travel. Bet even if you broke the £1000 seasons winnings barrier you were still vastly out of pocket 😆

Well done to the OP, 2 Open wins is a great achievement.

But, £450 in 2s sounds almost impossible to win in 1 year??? How much does a 2 win at your club?

At my club we pay £1 for the 2s sweep, generally if you get a 2 you get about £8.

Two's pot; almost every week. Probably about £120.
Vouchers; I think I've picked up about double, most of which has been in the second half of the year.

Probably about £350 this year, which is at least £300 more than last year.

I have a mate off +4, he's won over £6k in prizes this season.

gets given his golf balls etc by TM so was shifting dozens of provs off for £20 or so!

1.50 is our 2's pot, prizes obviously vary week to week, I've had 2 in last 6 weeks, 1 was worth £8.00, the other £44.00, the open wins were as a 4 man team and as a pair, I did ask the Pro if people won that much and he wouldn't give names but said we have a few who have that much and more, 2's pots on both Saturday and Sunday are worth over £200 each day, HIO gets half.

Taking into account entry fees I haven't ever managed to win anything at all...:(

Best season was 5 years ago when I managed to cover the £240 I had laid our in entries with vouchers :)

Obviously no one on here plays for financial reward,

Ahem, speak for yourself :D

Despite high expectations at the beginning of the season, winnings have accumulated to a massive £2500 so far.
So fair to say I won't be popping up on your TV screens in the near future unless it's Antiques Roadshow or similar ;)

3 twos in three weeks have earned me £22, £14, and £17 respectively. 2 comp wins were worth £91 and £78, plus a couple of minor places totalling around £30, so a total of around £250.

probably just about ahead of my entry fees and 2s pot costs.

Those 2s are silly money!
The 2 clubs I've been members of have a steady average of £6 each.
This year from memory I had a 4.40 and a 7ish. Would need a few of them to tot up 350 smackers.

Picked up about £50 for my result at Blackmoor and then third in Race to Hillside and another £40 in pro shop vouchers for winning the June stableford at the club. Not great compared to some on here but better than it could have been

Picked up about £500 in prize fund so far this year - have three more vouchers at presentation night to pick up which will be about £240.

Had a good year last year I won about 250-300 in twos and around same in comps I spent most of it on golf balls gloves etc and gave my dad £150 on his account when I cancelled my membership
