Volvo World Matchplay?

Firstly what do you reckon about the new format? And more importantly who do you think will win it? i think the new format isnt bad as it gives players the chance to have one bad round and still have a chance to make the final but i dont agree with the fact that the players have to play 18 even if the match is over... who's onna win it? Angel Cabrera 6 and 7 in the final against Fisher

I think its a good format as they can have one bad round and still get through. I think Ross Fisher will win it but whoever wins will diservely be crowned champion as these guys are all top pros.

Good competition on a mountain goat course, dont like the format tho ,if you get beat 3&2 you go off, you dont play 18 and your opponent wins 2 holes and you only win by 1 hole, not the greatest IMO.Think Cabrera has a good chance ,outsider Ollie Wilson he's got to win one eventually.

I understood they are only playing the full eighteen for a hole difference thing to sort out the group stages (and to give the crowds and corporate around 18 the chance to see them) and it will revert back to proper matchplay in the semi and the final

Much preferred it at Wentworth, and real Matchplay.

Its like they've messed it up ala Football 'playoffs', Matchplay is matchplay so why should they get another chance ??
