Went again for our third trip last September. Incredible value for money. The resort is just in the hillside overlooking Benidorm. The resort itself is huge and the hotel area consists of 4 star and 5 star rooms. Its more like being in a village rather than a stereotypical "complex". There are two golf courses. The executive course is quite hilly (hence why the buggy is free) and has all par3's and par 4's, no par 5's. We always have our first round on this course just to get the swing going. You certainly need to be able to get through your irons thats for sure, there's a whole host of different shots needs to be hit.

The national course is a joy to play. Considerably less hilly and strangely quick greens? You'd expect fast greens in that climate surely? Well! of course. The thing is it seems really strange that every approach shot plugs in the green, yet they are lightning quick? Jesus, pronounced "Hayzoos" the course martial. informed us that the sprinkler system is linked in to the moisture of the greens. When they begin to dry out through the day, the sprinklers kick in individually depending on the moisture content. Which is brilliant thinking because some greens get different levels of sunlight. Anyway! Its a Jack Nicklaus designed course, so you know its going to be trappy.

A great shot up the middle guarantees nothing. Its linksy in its undulating fairways, and good shots can be punished with the wrong bounce and in the sand it goes, and if it skirts passed one bunker it will probably roll in the one behind it.

Splendid full English brekky to be had. We paid for B+B and 1 round on the exec course and 3 rounds on the national course £269 including transfers from Alicante airport. Taxi into Benidorm at night was 10 euros, and beer and food down there, well, you can pay what you want.

Great golf in a fantastic resort, with all the cheap trappings Benidorm has to offer on your door step.

Make sure you book it through a golf agent and not direct through the hotel, because its extortionate.

Use course master or yourgolftravel, infact email the lot of them with your requirements because there's plenty of agents who deal with Vilaitana.

Superb value for money......"FACT!"
