Hi
Can anyone recommend some good software (Happy to pay good money if needed) to edit video's, all video's are my own and have been saved to my hard drive. Mostly home shot vid's and would like to cut them down in size as some are 30-40 minutes long but only need clips of them put together.

Have tired a few cheap bits of software on line but the quality is very poor once done, where as, the vid's are in HD at the moment, thats why they are so large a file.

Many thanks

Del

On Mac I use Final Cut Pro
On PC I use Adobe Premiere

Not cheap but anything else is a complete waste of time in my experience.

I used Magix Edit Pro - currently on version 15. Can export into a variety of formats for my website. Not that expensive and pretty easy to use. So I'd recommend it.

If it is basic video editing with a few transitions etc then you'll be hard pushed to find better than iMovie. It's quick easy and a very simple learning curve.
