Ventus Velocore shaft - one for the shaftoids

One thing I've noticed recently watching golf is the amount of pros using this shaft.

It's pretty much a £300 upgrade on top of the cost of a new driver.

Anyone hit a driver with it in ? and what's so good about it ?

One of the lads I play with has this shaft (not sure if blue or black, might be black) and as you say it was a £300 upgrade. For him, it knocked something like 600rpm spin off his driver and gave a much more penetrating flight. He tried a multitude of shafts at his fitting and this was the only one that got his driver spin rate down to an acceptable number.
He has a pretty high swing speed (around 110-113mph) and the ball flight is noticeably different from his old driver. The old one would just keep rising then stall, the new one must be giving him an extra 15-20 yards on his good hits.

I think you need to be swinging over 105mph to be able to discern a real difference.
The Velocore makes the tip more stable without really stiffening it much so ordinary swing speeds won't benefit from it much.
