Head Pro
4 ball today - par 3 hole.
Partner hits green, I hit left into muddy grass.
Opponent 1 hits green, opponent 2 misses green
I search left, opponent is searching on the right.
Opponent and I accept we've lost ball so the two on the green hole out - we declare hole finished.
As I walk away I spot my ball, a bit muddy and pick it up.
To cut a long story short I'd actually found opponent's ball - he'd been looking in wrong place.
Next tee I play the ball.
We realised the error on the fairway when identifying our balls.
As the match was over a few holes back we finished the hole with the balls we played off the tee.
When opponent 1 hears he remarks that I forfeit the hole.
I claim I've simply played a lost ball that I found.
No argument, just a debate.
So, am I correct?
