Can't believe its valentines day and no ones put up a post about it. Are we a nation of grumpy old farts or is there a special luvva out there.

The OH bday is only 3 days away so we have never really done much on Valentines - a card and a bottle of smelly

But cooking her dinner tonight and will watch a film

39th wedding anniversary next weekend so all celebrations halted till then

Dont need to be told to love the Mrs on one day of the year, each to their own though. Went out for dinner last night, but we tend to go out once or twice a week anyway and then dropped her at the airport this morning as shes in Spain for a long weekend. Night at the card table for me

PS as for the restaurant, £10 a head last night, £30 a head tonight for the same menu

Wife got me a new Titliest cart bag (very nice it is too), an Oscar Jacobsen top, a dozen proV1 balls and bottle of my favourite Rioja and a box of Maltesers. She's a keeper……..

I've got her a dozen roses, a nice dinner is in the oven, she's off for a hairdo in the morning whilst I'm playing golf, and as a surprise I've booked us a week in Tenerife in May which she has no idea about.

must say that valentines day is a day where the big companies change over the odds for choccies, flowers etc.

Won't do the card thing as its just rubbish but went to tesco on the way home and got a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates.

Cant win. Asked her she liked her card (tatty teddy). She said did it fall off the back of a lorry, i asked what she was on about coz she saw me pay £2 for it on a dodgy stall in coventry during our mucky free weekend last week. She said whys it got a £7-99 clinton cards sticker on it. How the flippin eck should i know.
