Its only been on 5 minutes and the fans are annoying me already, why o why do they scream get it in the hole on par 5 + 4, or from impossible lies???? Why o why do they applaud bad hots like a seal at the circus??? Why o why do they scream like children every half decent shot. AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!

Came in from work, sat down, switched on the golf and it took less than 10 seconds to hear my first 'get in the hole'.

They really should rename every major after Tiger Woods! All we get to see is him!!!

I agree entirely and find it quite comical that these people do it- do they realise what idiots they look. I am thoroughly enjoying the action though. I'm loving Butch Harmon's insight into Mickleson and Scott's game as he is both of their coaches. I'm also glad that there is some sort of English challenge being lodged by Westwood and Wilson. Karlsson is going well also on a european front.

Oh yea and is it me or is the sound much more pronounced than normal, you really can hear it as the players strike the ball and then turf, and as they are nearly all good strikes it sounds wonderful.

Anyway I'm back off to catch some action.

My coach said in first lesson how lucky I was that it is my right knee that has no ACL.

He said that it is the left knee that takes it all through impact. He also said that Woods could not play through 36 with his dodgy knee??

Mate its 2 main reasons,firstly the whole All American thing ("Thank you for sharing this moment with me")and secondly I feel he abdicates responsibility for the talent he has.

All this taking risks stuff and chancing things is so that he has an excuse to fail. I have no doubt that if you or I had his abilty we would be properly pushing Woods. Sure he is a nice bloke but I just want him to spit in Woods eye once in a while.

Cant help thinking we would have been nicking his dinner money when we were kids.

After reading your post Nico I can see what you mean about Phil, he ain't got no grit and determination about him.

I take loads of chances when I play golf but I play for fun not millions of dollars.

Could be TonyN, but it ain't worked for him. He was only losing about 15 yards with it due to the Savage loft on his 3 wood, it was 11 degree!

Paaah. Mind you, thats more of a wise move than coward, Although I left the driver in the bag last round, It would take some golf balls to leave it at home!

The trouble was Phil has not hit any more fairways with this beast of a 3 wood than he does with his Driver something Butch Harmon and the Sky guys picked up on. So whilst it seemed to be clever thinking it doesn't seem to have paid off. Was it the US open when Phil put two drivers in his bag once, I can't remember?

BTW, you can get most drivers in 12deg loft. His 3 wood is 11.5deg?
