Unwelcome playing parners

Such a poor comment, why would anyone want to spend 4hrs with someone consistently makes the golfing experience less pleasurable.
You don’t have to listen to his rubbish and when you do hear it you can just dismiss it…as the rubbish it is - or even better just don’t process it. Seems like this guy is living in the groups collective head ‘rent free’…that needn’t be the case. The more the group discusses the annoying one and what they can do about him, the deeper inside the group conscience does he get.

I've been there - we had a guy who fell out with the club and left for another, only to come back the following year. He started to book with our regular 3 ball, having been told by some others that he was unwelcome in their group. He was just stuck up and full of stories about what he had done - no one in the club liked him!

We were on the verge of having that difficult conversation but managed to pair up with a regular 4th person ourselves, which dodged the bullet of his company.

He left again the following season, but was rejected after trying to rejoin his former club, and so went elsewhere thankfully!

We had a guy who was introduced into our group by someone who themselves had not been in the group for 6 months. They had hardly endeared themselves. Anyway he was full of himself. There were also questions raised about his golfing etiquette. Basically he was a cheat. He was told in no uncertain circumstances not to try and book within the fuddle again. He didn’t.
Another was just a self centred plank. Everything was about him him him. Again he was told he was not welcome. There was no grey area. The problem is, who tells them.
