Underrated Tracks

Stephen we played Rosses Point ,Donegal and Narin & Portnoo last year and had a cracking trip all the course were spot on Narin was my favourite. I did see that about a forum meet i think we;re coming over next October but not sure where a bouts yet as this year we did Waterville, Tralee, Dooks and Dingle Links, it might be back to Portstewart , Portrush area again unless the Euro picks up.

If you are doing the Portrush area again in October avoid the 11-13th as it the Great North Links dates, we played it last month and the quickest round was 5 hours 20😩

Would be great to get a game again when you next over and if you guys want to add Ballyliffin onto your trip give me a shout.

Ipswich Purdue Heath

Nice to see Beau coming up a lot as, as soon as the sheet goes up to play the match against them it's filled very quickly at our place.

Also Sheringham as will be playing it next year .

Some of the courses mentioned here don't seem underrated to me.

Both Southerness and Goswick are very highly rated by everyone I know who have played then. Also well respected by the likes of the R&A.

So, what makes a course underrated?

I went for Southerness as it isn't ranked in the Top 100 and personally I'd say its far better than a number of courses currently ranked between 50-100.

I suppose We can only judge whether a course is over/underrated via rankings.

I think I understand. Hayling Island isn't rated, Royal St David's is.

Goswick is darn famous, positively gold-plated appreciated all over the UK. If it's not in some "top" list, then I guess it's underrated.

Funnily enough, there are only two rankings in total for Jersey (the island) and the best course comes no.2 :o
