I'm currently gaming a black Nike golf umbrella which must be almost 20 years old. And a Finca Cortesin logo umbrella which I liberated when I played there and is very lightweight. Both have seen better days and probably time for an upgrade. I'll be watching this thread for tips, also good to know when umbrella clearance sales happen.

A big fat Mercedes umbrella - its class! No idea what it cost as it came with my car but its better than any golf brolly I owned before. Never been ruined by the winds.

A guy I used to work with bought a new Audi TT. That came with a black Audi umbrella. He gave it to me, 'if it's raining I wont go out so it's no use to me'. I've had it for about 7-8 years now and it is brilliant.

The moral of our stories, either buy a flash car or know someone who is buying a flash car . Car umbrellas are better than golf umbrellas

Our pro-shop sells its club branded brollies for... over £50 each  We have two maybe three days a year when it isn't a 2-3 club wind

I picked up a white and blue mizuno one to match my bag more than anything but it’s lasted very well. I use it for dog walks as much as golf and it’s lasted 5 years so far…

Only problem with white is it gets a bit grubby looking from dirt.

If it is that good, perhaps it was made in a German factory.
Golf brollies tend to be made where the brand that is ordering them can find a factory that will make them at the cheapest cost.

Honestly its great! Easily the most sturdy handle etc of any I've ever owned and the poles are really strong.

My old man had a brand new Ping G425 brolly last year that lasted about 5 rounds before it was battered beyond repair by the winds, my merc brolly lasted the whole season and didn't pop open (backwards) once.

I have ones from Sports Direct they are so cheap I do not care if they break just buy another one (£2.50 last time I bought one).

I once forked out on a gust buster. I never got to use it in the rain because I did not notice it had a carbon shaft and something fell on it in the boot of the car and broke the shaft:cry:

Get a Rolls, or a Skoda Superb, whichever suits your budget and they have them in the doors.

I did have a Superb and that little umbrella came in handy on a few occasions. A clever touch, one of a few in that car. Saying that, it wasn't big enough to be a golf umbrella so doesn't beat my Audi brolly 😄.

Does the RR brolly come with someone to hold it for you?

*paid partnership with Mercedes.

I hope you get a decent Merc to drive so you can fulfill your brand ambassador duties 🤣🤣

I know from experience I'm in the minority but no brolly for me every time. You can't stay dry playing the shot so I found myself rushing/getting irritated the wetter I got before dashing back to the brolly. So just suit (and hat) up and succumb to it. It's liberating. Need quality waterproofs of course.

I’m getting fit for a golf brolly soon 👍🏻

But don’t worry it’s at a specialist fitter, not an AG. There’s so much choice, so before my fitting I just need to watch a few golf YouTubers reviews to narrow the options down 🤣

Blue Mizuno but not used it yet

I have a 42” mizuno tour brolly, it’s a double canopy also. It must be 8-10 years old and is still going strong and I put that down to the double canopy design. The 42” canopy is indoors great if you’re not a 28” waste kinda guy.

As others have posted I mainly use w/proofs if the chances of rain are high, but if it’s just the risk of a shower the brolly goes in.
