The advertising has worked. I've been tangoed. Following Oddsocks review of his AG experience and the rather subtle colouring on here I'm going to give the AMP Driver a whirl on my round on Sunday. I'll let you know if it really is fresh, juicy and sweet Sunday afternoon...

What add?......:)

Like the look of that hybrid... I am off to read said driver review now.

Cobra is not a brand that appeals to me currently, am I right in saying that are owned by Titleist?

You should use Firefox as your browser as the Ads get blocked therefore I dont get to see all this advertising and it saves me money

No.

They were until Puma bought the Cobra brand.

It will be interesting to get your opinion Tiger as the one in the review section by Tab is not exactly glowing. Rainbow flight, not as forgiving as the billing, though he and others say it is good looking.

Give that hybrid a slap too if you get a chance please.

If there's a hybrid in the pro shop I will take it out as well :)

Try a few Tiger, dont just go with the mindset of an AMP (Although it does get great reviews). The new Nike VR, RBZ, i20 all look great !!!

Let us know how you get on !!!

Alex, check this link. It's a bit of a read but has all the stats to prove its a good stick

Thats a great post buddy!

It was clearly the best bit of kit for you and actually staggering that you got 10 yards and the dispersion so tight. Great to have the thing that is best for you, shame you cant look yourself in the mirror any more :D. Are you going to get the matching outfit?

Kidding, nice one for the link.

Edit: Boo Gareth beat me too it!

It seems to many are judging the club on the orange colouring Alex. I'm the first to admit I only tried it as I wanted to rule it out, bloody think has changed the colour coding in my bag!

I'm not a big fan of bashing clubs on the range. I much prefer taking them on a couple of outings on the course and see how they perform for real. Unfortunately, my pro hasn't got an i20 but over the coming weeks I'll be trying the AMP, 910 D2 and G20. With any luck I'll locate somewhere with a demo i20 as well. Will let you know how the AMP driver behaves.

Aztecs sometimes I wonder if you realise there are other brands besides Mizuno ;)

:D Of course I do! Infact, I love the look of the AMP range so much I'm doing everything in my power to NOT try them, as I can't afford a new set of irons! I'm dreading next time I play with Barry because I don't want to fall in love with the AMP - sounds like it's not as forgiving as advertised, which is good for me as it means I might not like it.

But I've hit a lot of drivers over the years and the Mizuno JPX driver is the easiest and most forgiving driver I've ever hit and I'm convinced that if I can play enough qualifiers, my handicap will tumble this year as a result of my shots off the tee not being destructive like they used to. Just offering you a friendly bit of advice, because as a high handicapper I know forgiveness off the tee helps no end! If you don't try it, it's no great shakes for me, I have mine and am hitting a lot of fairways.

Hope you find one you're happy with, whatever you try!

Ooooooooh hark at her! ;)

Thing is I can't afford anything unless I win some comps or wait till my birthday in August (so. far. away!) Before I make any purchase I'll be having a chat with my new teaching pro who happens to run a Mizuno fitting centre so I don't think I have any chance of escaping the power of the JPX! ;)

Ye there is Titleist as well!

Oddsocks: I like orange, I am not sure I want my clubs to be orange but I am not sure I don't. Cobra just dont seem to be a brand I have ever tried, I don't think I have ever hit any of there range at all.

However they have rather split the golf world by going so bright and loud but its worked for Taylor Made. I dub them the neon brands, companies that look to appeal to those who like there equipment to stand out.

Bottom line is, if they have a good head on a good shaft and the ball goes away from you then thats what matters.

I do like the shape of that hybrid though.

The man clearly has taste! :D

I'd be surprised if you don't love them.

I'm glad the AMP ads are ad-blocked...I'm really warming to them. The orange is luring me in and the forged ones look stunning at address from the pics I've seen! The orange grips too! Total winner.
