Trump's Place

Craw Kingsbarns is now £195 per round. I have been lucky enough to have played there a few times, and its worth every penny. So i don't think £150 per round is that bad, considering they have spent 100 million on it. lol

I was at Kingsbarns 6 weeks ago, beautiful !!, only trouble was I felt so ill with a virus that I only managed one hole & had to come off the course, spent 4 hours laying in the locker room wanting to die.

On that basis £195 x 18 = £3510 per round !!!

GM's contributing ed Fergus Bisset is teeing it up there today at the opening event
I'll ask him to write a report for the site as soon as he can
He's notoriously hard to please and not normally one for new courses so be interesting to read what he thinks

I know someone within the Scottish PGA who insists Trump will hold an Open, guaranteed. Says its the best course he's walked!

(he's not played it yet!)

All these people with people on the inside, put your money down and play it yourself, before the prices go through the roof. If i was fit to play, i would be there next week.

At a quarter of my annual fees no thanks. Seriously can't justify that at this stage in my life. Maybe if I sent the wee man back to school next year with no new shoes or uniform I may be able to swing it but I fear my testicles would be served to the dog if I spent that on one round of golf.

My friend has a tee time on the 21st of July.

And I will be relying on a Club Managers doo being held there at much cheapness!
;)

I'm relying on people who know people who know people, it does look fantastic but I can't see how trump is guaranteed an Open, if it really was guaranteed then it would be announced and on the rota surely?

The pro at my place is playing there sunday at 8am,he took great delight in texting me that this morning,it must be a freebie as he's tight as 2 coats of paint, lol.
He said he send me some pics.

Well Monty thinks its one of the best links courses he has ever played. And that was after only 9 holes, and he believes the back 9 is even better. Oh i cant wait........Must get well soon, think a visit to my physio is required. lol

Do you mean The Open or the Scottish Open (ref Scottish PGA)?

If the latter then, yes, I think it will pretty much be a shoe-in in the not too distant future (possible Ryder Cup venue as well).

However, if it's the former, not too sure the R&A will feel very comfortable about taking their flagship event to a venue steeped in controversy never mind one with the owner's name stamped all over it!

However, never say never and the likely first sign of this being a possible future Open venue would be for one of the R&A's amateur events to be taken there.

Paul Lawrie did well to skip the opening. Could not make it due to bad weather they said.
It does look like a beautiful course, it's just a shame that Trump is such a pillhok.
At least Scotland has got a great course out of the fuddle.
I would be no surprise to me to see the housing scheme and big pub staying in the filing cabinet.
The windfarm is Trumps get out of jail free card.

It looks absolutely superb and I might be willing to treat myself at some point.
I can't see it hosting The Open though. Not enough tradition.
Probably a shoo-in for the Scottish though and possibly the Ryder Cup.

Probably couldn't be doing with Monty calling him Peter all the way round!!!!!

I believe him and Martin Laird were being flown by helicopter from Castle Stuart but this wasn't possible due to the weather.

THE Open!

Watch this space. Why did Trump go out of his way to ensure Martin Hawtree was the architect in charge of the project. Hawtree is also the R&A's preferred architect.

Why do you think George O'Grady and Sandy Jones were playing at the opening ceremony today????
