Am I mad or do others keep the ball of round that you broke your PB.
I now have 3 balls that I achieved a significant drop in best score. I've written the score and date on them. They are only in a box in the garage, not on display in the house though!

Anybody else do something similar?

No.

Yes, I have the ball I knocked my first eagle in with and the ball I had my lowest ever round with (77) in the garage. Kept the scorecard too. Not to show off to my kids, just nice to remind myself once in a while I can play golf when I have a good day!!

The ball I had my only hole in one with I lost later that round.

I still have the ball I had my PB with but it's not on display and I've not written on it.

Every now and then I search eBay for a trophy or similar to mount it on/in, but I'm not paying what they want for them.

Hit a front 9 35 (-1) on the weekend and struggled through the back 9 to finish with an 80. I'd got it in my mind I'd keep the ball but I launched it straight into the driving range in 18. No way I was going to try find it among the thousands of balls out there. If I ever get it in a bucket of range balls, I'll be sure to pocket it - lol

Still got the first ball that I went under par with. -3 in a competition. Ball is in a box in the loft somewhere. Have beaten that score since but those balls have found the rough never to be seen again during subsequent rounds.

I've twice I've had a hole in one and on each occasion I've retired the ball and kept it as a memento. I say retired as a hole in one is a very lucky thing, so, a ball used in such a stroke has used up all of it's allocated luck. No point in topping it into the boonies on the next tee :)

Just had Facebook remind me that it's two years today since the got my first and only eagle to date which resulted in my "trophy ball". 😂
