Trolling

I recognise I am not everyone's cup of tea on here, got myself involved in some issues on here and been infracted for stuff I've posted, for which I take full responsibility. I have tried hard over the last six months or so to be more engaging and less confrontational on here. I do however think there are some that go out of their way to look to be offended and react once they are and that the word troll is used far too quickly and often.

As for the point about the forum being cliquey, I think it's fair to say LiverpoolPhil and I have been as polarised on here as you can get and we have definitely rubbed each other the wrong way. I was paired with him recently at West Hill and had a marvellous time and saw him in a new light (and enjoyed his golf too). I can only speak on my behalf, but I see him in a different light now and while I don't agree with some of his views still, I respect them far more. Sorry to LP for singling him out but I thought it was important and goes to prove that by meeting up, it's easier to get to know how a person ticks

Wow!
Just read all this thread and it's just confirmed what I already thought.
If there are any trolls on here, they make up a very, very small percentage of posters.
Nearly all on here seem to be capable of having a reasoned debate.
........................................ however!
There are a few on here who just seem to be ridiculously childish and there are others who take themselves far too seriously.
When they get together it all gets a little bit toxic.
Some just keep banging on with the same old argument time and time again, like a dog with a bone, which just encourages some of the others to regress into some kind of infancy ..................... and then the petty insults come out, including the 'troll' accusation.
Sometimes I find it rather amusing, sometimes I don't.
Trolling, nah, I don't see it as a problem here.

Fine ta but not really relevant to this thread

Now there is a prime example of posting to goad a response

Nothing to do with the thread, let’s wind Homer up

Another irony meter overload moment

Phil Phil Phil....Phil.......I started with with agreement and partisan. Then I asked a question - I can’t be arsed to read some half cock blog nonsense but as have been here for a while and followed the poster for the same amount of time, I am just intersted to enquire as to his progress (if any).

You really should read the thread from page one.

Tbh it’s done better than I thought.
I gave it 2pages tops.

When did we become such a nation of cry babies?

It’s like people queue up to be offended & throw a strop.

I thought it was a perfectly reasonable question to ask, just being friendly I thought.

you are a prime candidate in the top 5 most worthless members on here are near the top of the troll list - along with your close cousins just above. Take up something else and do us all a favour
