Never heard of Fabsil... just done a little Google. Might be the solution to my current Nike bag! Is it as good as they make out?

Very good. I used the areosol version to proof a boat awning used in salt-water environment and a single application lasted a season. There also used to be a fabsil 'gold' that was a super duper version, never tried that as too expensive for a whole awning but may be worth a try for a golf bag.

Think so, rain does seem to run off the bag. Can't say how it would hold up in a deluge as you wouldn't see me on the course
