Hi all,
anyone have any information or experience of their new drivers? Particularly the XCG5.
I've got a fitting arranged for next week (Thursday) & I'd like to go armed with as much info as possible about them.
There doesn't seem to be much on the internet about them, reviews is what I guess I'm really looking for.
They don't seem very common over here & I'm not sure whether or not any tour pro's are attached to Tour Edge. They claim not to pay anyone to use their clubs, is that because they're no good maybe?
Thanks in advance,

Slime.

Limited experience as I've only hit fairway woods at the local shop.

I was really very impressed but got the Mizuno one as I liked the shaft in the hybrid. Not really loving it so may end up going back to have a look at the TE stuff as I really liked them.

Not much help I'm afraid............

I once owned an XCG V driver , good club, with Graph Design Tour AD shaft, Tour Edge always use top quality shafts in all their clubs
And also had an XCG - 3 fairway wood, until my mate gave it a try and pestered me that much to buy it, that I gave in and let it go
They are Better known for their Fairway Woods really
Really Huge in the States by all Accounts.............

I've never tried any of the Tour Edge drivers, and don't know of anybody else who has so i can't really comment. There fairway woods however are awesome clubs,i have a Tour Edge Hyper Steel 3 wood, and cannot fault it.

Very good clubs, well made, especially good shafts.

TEEs are known for their length, and the ball really does pop off the face. They usually have two lines available, one with Tour in the name for better players, and the other for the rest of us. The Tour clubs have slightly open faces and stronger shafts and higher COG for lower flight. They are best known for fairways and Luke Donald, among others, have used them. They also do an extensive custom fitting programme and when I enquired directly from TE, they told them they could fit any shaft on the market for you. Probably not much need as the stock shafts are very good.

I have had a few models since they started and have never regretted any of them.

Being a bit more serious, I have a four wood and hybrid. They are very nice, very well made clubs. I won't be changing either of them any time soon. They are not cheap, but they are quality.

Presumably at West Byfleet?

Pro there is UK Agent for them. Apparently became it after a lot of hassle with TE as they were not interested in UK Market at the time - so shows how much he liked them.

I haven't used the Driver but have seen it in action - very impressed. I have 2 of their CB1 Fairways and they have been in the bag(s) for a long time. Unlikely to be shifted for a while either. Great distance' great flight (perhaps a tad lower than others).

Exotics is the Premium range; Bazooka is aimed at lower end/starter of market.

I'm a big fan, though current range is a but 'noisy' looking for me - nowhere near as 'noisy' looking as Rocketbollox though.

My pro has sold them for years and swears by them. Quite a few golfers at my club play with them but I just couldn't bring myself to put a club in my bag called "Bazooka" or "Exotics". Having said that, he has a couple of fairways on sale at the moment for £60 each, I am thinking of lifting one of them........

Not West Byfleet, didn't know their Pro was a TE agent though.

It's at Bramley Golf Club, but I'm sure it's for members only, you may want to double check that lucan. I'll surely report back after Thursday's fitting whether or not I buy one, I don't even know how much they are!

I just bought a tour edge exotics 4 wood today. The stats were superb. Why they use a titanium face, and are not paying anyone too make a shaft for them. I got mine fitted with a Harrison Tipp stiff, as my angle of decent is sharp.
Lovely club and carry a premium price but you are getting a club for you and not the masses.
