OK, so I've owned my Gokart since September 2009 and due to my own hamfistedness, I broke the scorecard cover lugs when I carelessly let the trolley bang closed after my round the other week. I'd done this once before and a free replacement scorecard cover arrived the day after I had e-mailed them, asking if I could buy a new one. Anyway, sent an e-mail during the Chistmas holidays explaining that my trolley was out of warranty, but I'd gone and done it again and could they please advise how I go about buying a replacement. Was thinking today that it was odd that I hadn't received a reply, when lo-and-behold, the postman arrived with, not one, but TWO free replacement scorecard covers!!!

Awesome service! :whoo:

It is great service, and part of a trolley which is not really necessary to fix, so fair play to go kart.

But, every time I see the title of one of these posts my immediate thought is 'what have you broken now?'.

You don't tend to see similar posts from other trolley owners.

May be because they don't fit score card holders?

I have to agree with murph. It's great that the CS is so good however there seems to be sooooooooooooooooo many people having parts replaced that it begs the question is the product fit for the purpose? I'm not having a go at Gokart but these threads pop up on here rather too often for my liking! I would buy a product based on its reputation, however good CS is also a factor so it would be a difficult decision whether I would trust a Gokart.

I owned a Motocaddy for 4 years without anything breaking, my Powerbug is 2 years old and again no issues! Infact the Powerbug is older as I bought it 2nd hand.

same thoughts as craw and murph... i get the impression if the product was better quality the CS wouldnt need to be so good, which reminds me, i need to get that dam axle fixed on the motocaddy

Guys, the point I was trying to make was that the trolley is out of warranty and yet they provided me with the part that I needed FOC. It's not a part that has a great bearing on the actual operation of the trolley and I had offered to pay for it, having admitted that it was my own stupidity that caused the problem in the first place.

Incidentally the trolley itself has never missed a beat in the 28 months I've owned it and is still on the original 18 hole battery. ;)

A Gokart trolley will probably be my next purchase I've read a lot about them here and other places and apparently the card cover is the only thing that goes wrong with them.

;)

You won't get anywhere

I have to say that if I ws in the market of an electric trolley I'd probably go with a Go-Kart purely because I know that if it does go wrong I'm going to have the back-up of their Customer Service.
I know a few guys at my place who have them and they haven't had problems, lets face it you can get problems with anything. There'll be good and bad - but if I got a bad one then at least I would know they're going to look after me.

Having owned one for a number of years I think it is definitely fit for purpose. What GK and any of the others can't legislate for is the stupidity of the owners. I've heard of golfers turning them over driving into bunkers and breaking them etc and had the parts replaced. I managed to snap the clip that goes across the top of the bag to hold it on but shutting it in the boot and GK sent a freebie.

My scoreholder went within 6 holes of ownership. I'll try and get a replacement this week (as its in warranty), plus my bungy holder clip has broken.

Yeah, some of the golfers on this forum are obviously the incredible hulk, and don't know their own strength! ;)

6 months is a VERY short time for those two things to break!

I've had mine about 14 months & the battery was starting to go so they replaced it free of charge & paid for postage for the delivery plus the old one to be returned even though it was out of warranty, not often you get customer service like this nowadays.

I was walking across the main A264 that divides the 1st and 2nd holes at Copthorne once. You have to be careful because you get all sorts of traffic up that road, being about one mile from Gatwick.
As I got half way across the road, I stumbled and accidently let go of my GoKart. A 40 tonne articulated lorry smashed into it, breaking it into a thousand pieces before what was left of it disappeared under the front bumper and got wedged into the lorries back wheels. My GoKart was then dragged 500 yards up the road and burst into flames. I couldn't believe it. Sandie from Gokart contacted me the following day, got the GoKart picked up and lent me one whilst mine was being repaired, and I got it back within 4 days as good as new.
Still had the cheek to charge me £1.80 for the broken scorecard holder though. I was not best pleased.

well I think that about sums them up Smiffy. Shocking company! how on earth are they still in business with that kind of attitude to paying customers, do they know what a customer actually is?

..I have to put a disclaimer here as no doubt someone might think I'm serious- we all have different senses of humour. Well done Go Kart I commend your CS but I think you need a new supplier of clips
