Ok......If the top 100 players in the world all played in the 1 tournament and all brought their "A" game who would win?

Im beat and i cant really answer this...Interested in peoples thoughts.

I think that it would be from those players whose natural game suited the set-up of the course in question, with whoever was in the best vein of form being the favourite. After that it's up to the golf gods

Depends on the course, I guess.

Tiger would be right up there, but then again we forget all the players who have had a great week in various tournaments around the world. Nick Price won a major (PGA) six shots ahead of the field in 1994 and was quite brilliant in those days.
Faldo?...probably not (although his 1990 Open (is that right) sticks in the mind as being fairly stupendous). Palmer won a few Opens way ahead of the pack too. Els was great but never went super-low. Luke Donald made 9 birdies and 9 pars yesterday....I mean....how good is that? Makes Faldo's boring par-fest seem mediocre. Rory's rounds at the US Open?

It goes on and on.....

I think Golf is reaching new heights, I really do.

Tiger raised the bar dramatically, a lot of those around when he started where resting on their laurels with fitness and "physical" playing.....

It's a million dollar question. Nice one. :)

i'm confused here - fairly sure the question was about 'the top 100 in the world', are we talking now or top 100 of all time? :D

Sorry, getting carried away.

Not Tiger then, his game's a mess. If we count him, then we have to count every golfer alive.....

That's my excuse anyway... :D :D

What i mean fella's is the current top 100 players as they stand now today....Current form aside...And i suppose it would have to be a Major!

For me i think that it would boil down to the mental side and iv been pondering over this for the last few hours....

Tiger would definitely be in my top 5 and i would then think maybe Harrington,Donald, probably Macilroy and kaymer....Not necessarily in that order...
I think that these 5 and maybe 1 or 2 others have the mental strength to deal with the pressure....
