Too much?

As long as RBS don't sponsor an event, because then it is my money.

That's a vicious cycle though - without exposure through sponsorship, advertising, etc they'll lose ground on their competitors (Santander, etc) and potentially go under (or require further bail out funds)...

I see. So RBS still need to spend all the sponsorship money to get exposure, and they still need to pay whopping bonuses to attract the right staff, and they won't lend any money to anyone who might be able to pay it back, only to those who can't.

What has changed from what they were doing before they went bust?

Nice business plan guys.

I don't think RBS should be sponsoring anything just now.
I also think it is OUTRAGEOUS that RBS are lending money to Kraft to buy Cadbury. If *we* (the government) own a large chunk of RBS, one wonders why we are taking the chance of Kraft cherry-picking the Cadbury assets and (over time) wind down the work-force.

Maybe the secret plan is for RBS to make money (yes, that's make money RBS) so it can pay back the bail-out. We get paid back, but folk lose their jobs.

when you look at football players( 10% of a team)paid £100,000 plus per week outside image rights and seperate sponsor deals for NOT winning I dont think it's over the top.
