Too hot for golf in the UK!

I expect the midges to take THEIR vacation by late September....the Zika mosquitos are limited to Miami....I only have to deal with gators, armadillos and....

Played at St Ives yesterday (Cambs) so not a bit of shade and a 5.5 hour round - felt as frazzled as a Frazzle! Played again today but we stopped after 12 holes as that was more than enough. I'm not a fan of hot weather!
Spare a thought for my wife. She (and three of her pals) played the 72 hole MacMillan challenge on 19th July - it was the hottest day of the year up to then, and got to about 32 degrees.

It's raining in Hertfordshire now and it feels a bit cooler. However according to my car's outside air temperature gauge, it's still 29 degrees C at 20.45!

It's the UK, I remember those hot sunny days 25, maybe 30 on a real scorcher. I played Sunday Morning and the car was saying 75 (about 25*C) when I got there at 7:30. By the time I finished at 12:30 the thermometer at the clubhouse was saying 104* (about 40*C). It was that hot I couldn't pick up my irons by the heads because they were burning my fingers.

Is the putter still ice cold:D

She's good thanks, you still enjoying the good life?

I do miss meeting up with the lads from the site, had some good times.

Glad to hear it mate.
Yes all good here bud loving married life.

Will never forget that meet at Woodhall although we lost to Smiffy and his partner and probably his first and only win ever.

Played this evening. Got in the car, and the dash read 40 C, got to the course a more sensible 32C. Perfectly playable. Played great golf, but as we finished it banged down with rain. The course needs it.
