I am a late starter when it comes to Reacher but read all the books in the last 12 months. All bar the latest one on my Kindle. Complete sell out having the Midget as Jack. In every single book his size is emphasized over and over again so don't quite know how it works.

Film might be worth watching if you don't know Jack as a pure action movie. The books are really good and as the tag line for Reacher goes "Jack Reacher is the man every woman loves, and every man secretly wants to be" Typical macho stuff as he nearly always beds the woman and smashes/kills people with ease.

I actually like some of his films but Cruise is definitely not Reacher..... I originally though Tom Hardy might be better, but he is equally challenged in the vertical states. tough role to fill, but have seen the trailer and will probably watch it nonetheless.....

I was having trouble finding someone that would fit, but he would, and he's quite good on True Blood.
An old mate of mine used to work in the film ind and worked on "Eyes wide shut" and told me Tom was never filmed standing next to anyone or in any shot that showed him as the 4ft 2 midget he is

George G Gilman if I recall, used to read them a long time ago, along with Adam Steele and the Undertaker. All characters were riding on the man with no name coat tails, quite nasty in places though.
