ok, so im 24, healthy and fit (used to compete in triathlons), but have really bad knees (hence why i USED to compete!). with xmas coming up, im thinking of getting a trolley, just to take some pressure off.
those with and those without. what are the pros to using a trolley? thinking of the Powakaddy Twinline 3.

Pros I guess would be you are not carrying your bag which somempeoe reckon will save you shots. Cons it is a bit of a faff lugging all the
kit around then on the course it can be a nuisance around the green etc. I have a trolley and will probably use it more but am about to get a Carr bag too.

I've had a trolley since I was about 24, I'm now 30. I still carry occasionally and I do enjoy it but you can carry a lot more crap with a trolley bag. It doesn't really matter how fit you are, I used to run long distance, it just takes the weight off your shoulders and frees up your muscles to do the important bit of swinging at a golf ball.

You also feel a lot fresher at the end of the round and it makes the odd 36 hole day a lot more pleasurable.

Couple of cons, you can't get anywhere near the greens with it during winter and if your forgetful like me you battery will never be charged.

I'm buying a clicgear push trolley next year so I don't have to worry about battery, and it folds down much smaller that the powakaddy.

Hope this helps

Get yourself a trolley mate, why lug a bag around, and put stress on your shoulders, back, hips, knees etc, when you can let a trolley do all the hard work.
You will soon get used to positioning the trolley/bag on the tee side of the green etc,so your not walking where you don't need to.

twinline 3 is a push/pull trolley, so, no snags with the battery. you say no where near the green, why so? obviously wouldnt have it/not allowed on the green anyway, any other reason?

During winter a lot of courses don't allow trolleys within about 30yds of greens, this is because the ground can get quite wet and boggy and they want to protect it.

ah ok. also wondering will most stand bags fit onto the twinline 3? or do you need specific cart bags?i guess they sell the different types, becuase only the cart bags fit. correct?

you can get any bag on any trolley really but the trolley bags are better suited because they usually fit the trolley a bit better especially if you get the same brand as the trolley.

I can get my Nike ultimate standbag onto my Powakaddy, and my push/pull trolley,i just turn it sideways (pocket side out).

I use a twinline 3 and love it. I carry a bag from oct to about march and found my back nine was always worse than the front, particularly the last 3 or 4 holes. Although I wasn't feeling tired carrying a bag, I reckon it did have some effect on things. Twinline 3s are great. Cant see the need for an electric trolley, but a push cart is deffo the way to go

what bag do you use bash?

Same reason I use one. My knee are pretty much destroyed. Left one thanks to a bus, right one thanks to a defender who thought he was a bus.

Got a GoKart after my Motocaddy S1 broke.

Folds away nicely, cheaper than the "big" names. Very good customer service (just search the forum) and the colour choice options are nice. I also got mine with matching cart bag and it is every bit as good as my dads PK bag.
