A bit of background. Broke my left hand some few years ago and get pain in knuckle especially if topping!
Had always been taught not to grip too tightly - something about the grip will tighten anyway at the top of the backswing. Couple of days ago, in some pain, I tried a REALLY loose grip, almost to the point of only just enough to keep the iron in position and the results were truly significant. Tendency to draw has gone (too strong on right hand?) and a couple of range visits maintained the difference. Really pleased - OK I know it wont last :(

I tend to hold the club a little too tight, I'm sure. The worst thing for me is that sometimes I lose the grip a little at the top of the swing, I can feel it happen, then things go flippin' haywire (usually chunk it :D)......anyone else suffered with this?.....any tips.
I concur with 23rd man about grips and glove...so important. I had my irons re-gripped and asked them specifically NOT to use extra tape....my pro checked them out at my lesson and said they definitely had an extra layer of tape or two.....
