Evening everyone,

Looking to see if anyone has ever done the Titleist Performance screening before and thought it was worth the money.

I'm looking to improve my golf overall over the coming months now that the medals are done for the year. So thought this might be a good way to get started. I'm not unfit but more flexibility and maybe a bit of weight loss couldn't hurt.

There's a guy semi local that does it and offers a screening for £30 to see target areas and recommends a stretching programme. Seems fairly decent as I could then search online to develop the target areas.

So what's the thoughts? Anyone tried it?

Cheers in advance

Yeah, I've done it. It was worth it for me as I knew I had flexibility issues due to years of weight training and my coach recommended it as the tightness was having an impact on my swing.

The screening kind of confirmed the issues. Mainly issues impacted my ability to rotate my upper body in isolation from my lower and upper body flexibility in my shoulders\arms.

I got a programme of stretches to do daily for 10-15 mins that helped loosen off the tight areas. I'd say it helped me a bit but definitely not a magic bullet.

If you are aware you have flexibility issues that are impacting your swing then it's worth doing. If you, or your coach, think things are fine as they are then I wouldn't bother.

yes have studied this myself & been on the courses. if you're serious about improving would recommend it, though be prepared to be maybes shocked that the range of motion you have - unless you super flexible - in the upper body, hips & legs is not as great as you thought it was.
fixes almost always need a good deal of very regular exercises, speaking daily here. so no point really in spending the $'s in going, unless you are just curious to find out anyways & that's as far as you'll take it, or you are prepared to put a bunch of regular daily exercise routines into your life.

Agree with all that's been said. Highlights areas of weakness/tightness which can impact on the golf swing. Detailed series of exercises to perform daily which I did religiously for a while. As ever these things slide a little but there were a few which were particularly pertinent to me both in terms of improving my ability to swing a club but also stay injury-free as I play a lot of golf. So I still perform 3 of the exercises every day and occasionally return to the full set just to keep an eye on how my body is doing.

Thanks for posting this one Coach - hadn't seen it before. I've been curious about how and where to get a tpi screening done since MeandMyGolf posted their visit to USA. For now, I'll just do the exercises on this vid and see where that leads. Happy golfing!
