Titleist make the best clubs

I would bet my left one that there is absolutely no difference between his old titleist and his nike in reality apart from what is written on the back.

Isnt the argument, dont titlesit throw the most darts at young and upcoming golfers (or at least used to) then not pay top whack once theyve made it hence most of the best players played titleist at one point and then moved onto to a higher paying brand

but then that would be a very dull thread title ;)

hahah, that would be one of the very few titles I don't read ... and I tend to read them all!

I still don't buy all this stuff about the clubs being the problem.
Reading the enemy magazine last month there is an interview with Jack Nicklaus. Apparently he used different brands clubs depending what country/continent he was in and different sized balls on different tours.
And he was pretty good with all of them.

The main factor in players changing from Titleist clubs is that they invariably have to change ball as most companies now have their own. They have probably played the ProV or the X from being an amateur and are 100% comfortable with it. At their level a change in ball is a massive difference and it takes a long time to get used to it, some seemingly never do.

A recent Youtube video from Mark Crossfield pretty much proves this to be wrong, I don't think there is that much difference between most decent balls, especially for a pro!

I am sure the clubs have nothing to do with it at all mate! And I still don't think the op is 100% serious either! :D

As much as I want to say that this is the biggest wind up thread I have EVER read, I guess I can't as I personally have never tried the irons or driver at all really. Who knows how good I could be!
If someone would like to sponsor me to see just how much better I could become with titleist clubs please PM me and I'll give you the address to send them to!!

Do we really know what they're hitting? If Tiger was creaming his driver when he changed sponsors, it wouldn't be any problem for the new sponsor to re-badge it to look like one of theirs. Same applies to any individual club.

The ball is massive at the level these guys are at, why do you think so much heed is paid to who plays what ball when picking foursomes partners at the Ryder Cup, remember Tiger blaming Stricker's ball for his bad showing? Lets not forget that you can make stats show anything you like with a bit of selective manipulation, what we will never be able to measure is the feel in a top pros hands who strikes the ball consistently every time.
