I was in the same 4 ball as him in the morning and he hit some decent drives. None of them were earth shattering, all around the same distance as myself, Rick and pokerjoke (anywhere between 230-260 yards), but he did hit a 371 yard drive on the 18th. There's a carry over some mounds/bunkers in the middle of the fairway at about 240 yards and after that it's all down hill, he cleared the crap and it must have had at least 80 yards of roll, but it was still an impressive drive, and you've still got to hit the shot.
Guys, this talk of 371 means nothing, I love the way it keeps getting padded round.
I have carried beyond that in the past round some of the more blustery courses. As the saying goes, no room on the card for descriptions nor photos.
I think Ballyliffin will be good craic, 371 will be a layup in comparison! haha.

Agreed, but to put it into perspective.....no-one else on the whole day out of the 2 rounds got it that far. I think Region came the closest but he was still some 40 yards or so behind, and he won the long drive comp with 290..... I was there when he hit it......it was an enourmous drive and very impressive
