I know tiger has been a hot topic with mixed opinions this last few weeks on here but I think it's great watching him back on tv. Golf just isn't the same without him. Welcome back tiger!

He's hitting some great shots, doesn't look rusty to me. Doesn't feel like he's been away because it's been the off season for golf since his personal problems came out. He might have normally only played two or three tournaments before the Masters anyway.

What hole was it that he hit that hook shot round the tree onto the green.. the 9th?

What a shot that was! it must have moved 70+yds in the air, nearly missed the green on the left!

And he never even found the need to use a nearby bench to bounce it off

Feck me! Is it pick on James day?

I find it easier to work the ball from right to left (as per my beautiful 5-iron hook round the tree on the 5th hole last time we played)..... without using a bench ;)

But that shot wasn't anywhere near as funny :p

Ok, you got me! :)

I can't decide if it was the shot that was funny or the fact that I still made a comfy par? :D

Crikey... you got me thinking now (again) about what would have happened if some old coffin dodger was sitting there...

I guess his dodging days would have been over :D

It's seems he is making an effort to be more 'likeable' but but you can see the old ways creeping back when he hit a bad shot. That was only Thurs so I can imagine it getting worse come Sun......

Here we go....anyone care to comment on Watson having a 'head off' moment when he dumped his 2nd in the creek at 13??

Na, didn't think so.

Can only comment on what I saw Dodger. If Watson did have a 'head off' moment then I would say there are rare and are more than over shadowed by the gentlemenly way he conducts himself. Example been inviting the 16 year old Italian amateur (sorry cant remember his name) who he played with in the Open to play a practice round with him

That's alright then eh,Tigers global work for the game of golf will excuse him then....get over it,most golfers like a head off moment...amazes me why it upsets so many folk.

Agree Dodger.

Duval spitting every 2 minutes.
Michael Campbell "f**k knows?" when his ball air mailed the 12th.(Can't edit the live Amen Corner coverage)

Please can someone open up a seperate thread for petty TW digs and bleat to your hearts' are content in there.

So Tom Watson is the only person to invite people to play practice rounds with them?

At last years U.S Open, Tiger told South African James Kamte that if he qualified, he would play a practice round with him. Kamte qualified, Woods played a practice round with him. Care to explain how that is different?

I understand people don't like Woods, in fact I'd go as far as to say some people hate him but I'm starting to think it's getting a little obsessive. Woods' may have done what he's done, he may get a little heated on the golf course but he also does a lot of good for the game. Don't get me wrong, Tom Watson is a gent of the game but his head off moment is no different to Woods' or anyone else's, you are either offended byt golfers losing their cool or your not but you can't choose whether or not your offended depending on the player.

Brilliant to see Tiger back, Tiger has played the last few years worrying about his car wreck of a personnel life coming out, now its out he doesn't have to worry anymore he looks relaxed and more like the old Tiger, I loved the way he ran after his shot on 9 full of exitement and enthusiasm.

I still think Tiger will win

I know golf pros are always pleading poverty Bob, but is this your venture into tabloid journalism??
